Mamma keeps a careful eye out before feeding her chicks.
It's neat to capture the moment she drops the seeds in their mouth as it happens so quick in real time!
The chicks are fed a diet of either seeds or worms.
This brave little one posed for several shots as I was able to get quite close!
This guy is getting some shelter from a thunderstorm under the bird house.
Doves are common at the tube and open feeders.
Our feeder serves as Grand Central Station for many different types of birds including Cardinals.

We have tried to make our back yard as bird friendly as possible!
This Hibiscus survived the winter and went into bloom in mid July.
We love perennials because they are both attractive and low maintenance. Our Black-eyed Susan's are just starting to bloom.
Amazingly, all of our Dahlia's from last year survived the winter and began to rise out of the ground in May.
Our hydrangea just began to bloom the second week of June. Sweet!
We started this row of Lavender last year. We were really blessed to have them take off like this!
